Dear SCO, EPSA Family and Ministry Partners,
We hope this message finds you in good health. We regret to inform you that we have had to cancel the Masiye Missions Conference, which was scheduled to be hosted by SCO-South Africa on behalf of IFES in the EPSA region.
We understand that this news may be disappointing and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions regarding the cancellation of the conference, please let us know. We have explored all possible options to make the conference happen. However, due to assessment, fundraising challenges, and low registration rates, we don’t see the conference materializing.
We’d like to thank the South African National Convention Bureau, Johannesburg Tourism, and RendzoNetwork for their unwavering support during the planning stages. We believe that their continued support will be invaluable in future opportunities to host international conferences.
We understand the effort and resources that movements have put into making this conference a success, and we are truly sorry that we were unable to deliver on this promise. This decision was not made lightly, and we explored all possible options before making this difficult decision.
The leadership of the EPSA region will provide direction on the future of the Masiye Conference, but as for SCO-South Africa, we will continue to explore ways to encourage students to engage in missions and will revisit our original Masiye Missions Program.
Sincerely,
Motseki Sosibo (Masiye Conference Director)
